What is Therapeutic Forest?

Age 4 to Young Adults / £12.50-£40.00 / 2 hours

We are passionate about using the Forest School approach to support young people who need some additional support to connect with nature, socialise, improve communication and develop skills.

As Therapeutic Forest Leaders we aim to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs at Forest School. This may include supporting children with attachment difficulties and developmental trauma, those requiring inclusive communication strategies, those with sensory processing needs and children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and behavioural needs.

We deliver a weekly group on a Friday 12.45-2.45pm for primary aged children (age 4-11 years old) where parents / carers stay to support learning and play.

Our 1:1 sessions are learner led and are supported by our Forest School Leaders who will craft activities and learning opportunities around the learners interests and experiences. We have lots of experience working with children with additional support needs such as Autism, Pathological Demand Avaoidance, ADHD and attachment needs.
